On the morning of your sixteenth birthday, the King of Aliahan sends you on a quest to defeat the archfiend Baramos. Assemble your own party at Patty’s, choose each member’s vocation, and set off across continents and oceans—sailing distant shores, delving into ancient ruins, and gathering the six mystical orbs needed to awaken the legendary Ramia. Your journey eventually reveals a surprising connection to the very first Dragon Warrior.
 
Blending classic top-down exploration with first-person, turn-based battles, Dragon Warrior III lets you shape your team your way. Mix and match vocations (including the Thief added in this remake), discover powerful spells and gear, and even change classes at Dharma Temple to craft late-game builds like the coveted Sage. The Game Boy Color version also adds quality-of-life upgrades and extra content—like Pachisi boards and collectible monster medals—for dozens of hours of portable RPG adventuring.
